The penchant for neologism is not unrepresented in our group. We love new
ways to express things. As such, it's only natural that, occasionally, this
carries over into gaming. These are some of our new words and phrases, and
definitions thereof.

-3 Wisdom: adj.
1. Someone you can talk about while in the same room as them, yet still,
they will look up and ask, "What?"
2. Edgar (-3 is the actual score, not the modifier.)

A Cheat!: interj.
Yelling this is the quickest and easiest way to start a bar fight short of
throwing a chair.

Apparatus of Kwalish: n.
1. A mechanical wonderous item, with several useful capabilities, such as
tank and submarine.
2. Useless random treasure rolls.

Blue Dragon:
n. A chromatic dragon, blue in color.
v. When the DM sends what should be a lethal encounter at the party, only
to botch horribly, causing the death or incapacitation of the monster. (Twice,
now, when Ken has attempted to send a Blue Dragon after the party, he
botched critically, causing the dragons to incapacitate themselves, leaving
them open to a coup de grace.)

Bonegrinder Music: n.
Upbeat music played as background music for an unusual/morbid scene. For
example:
Happy village music from Lunar: Silver Star Story Complete, set to Castor
Darker (a Bone Grinder) ripping apart a fallen monster for parts.

Botchilism: n.
A dice-kharmic affliction that causes a player to botch (roll a "1" on a d20)
consistently (at least 3 times in a single game).

Altoids. (Based on an Altoids promotion, featuring Curious George on an
Altoids tin.)

n. The enchantment spell, Daze.
interj.
1. The verbal component for the spell of the same name.
2. An expression indicating a redundantly idiotic act. For example:
Bartender: "That'll be five gold."
Lily: "I only have three. Can you let me slip by?"
Bartender: "Five gold, lass. Or else."
Lily: *casts burning hands*
Edgar: "DAZE!"

A condition afflicting DMs, in that, whenever they try to launch into a long,
detailed description, or speak eloquently through an NPC, they are unable to
form coherent words.

2. A unisex way of referring to a friend.

Five Fingers Bible: n.
The Iron Kingdoms equivalent of a Tijuana Bible, often featuring popular
mercenaries, soldiers, warcasters, and warlocks as their subject matter.

FNG: n.
An acronym for "Fucking New Guy." Used to denote the newest/youngest
addition to a group, and implies the level of abuse heaped upon this person
for their new position.

Gamer's Tourette's: n.
A condition in which, when a gamer attempts to say one thing, it ends up
being something horridly profane. Displayed prominently by Kirk. For
example:
Kirk: "Modifuck."
Edgar: "Did you just say Modifuck?"
Kirk: "Did I?"

Acronym for "Great Allocation of Skill"

When someone ceases whatever they're doing for no reason other than
game progression. A reference to Dexter's Laboratory.

Hurts My Soul: adj.
A way to describe indescribable emotional pain caused by something
indescribable... yet in a descriptive way.

I Just Leveled The Playing Field In My Favour: phrase.
What a DM says when something that he wasn't planning for occurs, so he
doubles back and does something the PCs REALLY weren't expecting.
("WHAT DO YOU MEAN IT'S A PARAGON DESTRECHAN?!?!")

Mysterious Stranger: n.
A non-player at the table who interjects with in-game statements and
observations, usually snarking on the situation at hand, despite not being in
the game. Particularly potent when the PCs react in-game to it.

NRD: n.
The wild magic spell, Nahal's Reckless Dweomer, an evocation that
generates a wild surge, causing a random result, usually comical, i.e. The
most popular spell EVAR.
interj. The verbal component for the spell, shouted. Pronounced "Nerd."

Phugly:
adj. Fucking ugly.
n. Wesley Roberts' former nickname, caused by a cursed hat with the word
stitched across the front.
